Metropolitan Disc Jockey Service / Special Event Lighting was born in Huntsville, Alabama in 2003 when Chicago native DJ Steve Metz moved to the Huntsville area to start a family. Having a skill set acquired over many years of DJ’ing in the Chicago area, Steve quickly noticed a need for a full time, professional, refined music entertainment and lighting service in the Huntsville area. The business was launched and quickly became in high demand through the course of its first few years in the Huntsville area. The company began to grow with the addition of New York native DJ Paul Gradl and Huntsville native DJ/musician Daniel Noland in its first few years, followed by a wonderful array of additional talent and service enhancements in subsequent years.
The business has a strong focus on wedding events and the company’s growth, decision making, equipment inventory, talent assembly and professional marketability are all skewed with the specific intent of contributing to prestigious and memorable wedding events.
